Emily Black-Wright and Maddie Inman have announced their commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers at Drexel beginning in fall 2027.
Emily Black-Wright
Black-Wright swims for Scarlet Aquatics out of New Jersey and is a senior at Rutgers Prep School. She is from Old Bridge, NJ. She finished her summer at the NJS LC Gold Championship where she was highlighted by a 2nd place finish in the 200 breast with a 2:46.98.
Black-Wright’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 100 breast: 1:06.55
- 200 breast: 2:26.67
- 500 free: 5:18.79
Based on her best times, Black-Wright is just off what it took to final at the conference level as it took a 1:05.31 100 breast and a 2:21.46 200 breast.
Maddie Inman
Inman arrives from Damascus, Maryland and swims for Rockville Montgomery Swim Club. She is a senior at Good Counsel High School. She finished her long course season at NCSAs where she swam personal bests in all of her events. She swam to a 32nd place finish in the 50 back (31.21) to final. She also swam in prelims of the 100 back (1:06.96), 200 back (2:27.73), 50 fly (29.53), and 100 fly (1:05.73).
Inman’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 100 fly: 56.65
- 100 back: 56.96
- 200 back: 2:03.87
Based on her best times, Inman would already make the ‘C’ final of the 100 fly, 100 back, and 200 back. She is right on the border of the ‘B’ final in both backstroke events.
The Drexel women finished 5th out of eight teams at the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Championships with 918 points, finishing behind 4th place Northeastern’s 980 points. Brittany Corbett led the team with conference wins in the 500 and 1650 freestyles.
The two join the class of 2031 that also includes Helena Reis of Brazil and Sadie Hogan of Pennsylvania.
