Owen Gee of Morrow, Ohio has announced his verbal commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at Texas A&M University. Gee is a “Best of the Rest” ranked recruit for the boys high school class of 2028.

I’d like to thank my family, Coach Brandon and all of the coaches who have helped me along the way, my teammates, friends, and everyone who had supported me to get to this point. I’d also like to thank Coaches Blaire, Wes, and the rest of the Texas A&M coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this amazing opportunity! I can’t wait to see what the future holds and to be a part of this great team! Gig ‘Em!”
Gee swims for the Cincinnati Marlins and St. Xavier High School. He finished his long course season at Summer Juniors where he swam to numerous lifetime bests. His highest finish came in the 200 fly where he swam a 2:01.80 for 6th and swam a lifetime best 2:01.18 in prelims for 4th. He also swam a lifetime best 54.23 100 fly, 24.90 50 fly, and a 51.42 100 free.
Back in February while swimming for St. Xavier, he swam to a 3rd place finish in the 100 fly at the Ohio Division I State Championships as he touched in a 48.35. He also was 2nd in the 500 free with a 4:34.84 and helped the team’s 400 free relay to a win as he lead off in a lifetime best 45.90.
Gee’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 200 fly: 1:48.03
- 100 fly: 48.26
- 500 free: 4:30.06
The Texas A&M men finished 9th out of 11 teams at the 2026 SEC Championships with 503.5 points. Logan Brown led the team with 67 individual points including a 4th place finish in the 200 breast (1:51.55).
Based on his best times, Gee would have been 6th in the 200 fly and 8th in the 100 fly on the roster this past season. Chase Swearingen led the team with a 45.30 100 fly while Alejandro Michelena led the team with a 1:41.96 200 fly. It took a 46.48 100 fly and a 1:44.80 200 fly to final at 2026 SECs.
Gee will arrive in fall 2028 as a member of the class of 2032 along with Lova Shteinberg, Dryden Finley, and David Davis. Davis is the #20 ranked recruit in the class.
