Princeton and Brown traveled to Hanover, New Hampshire, to battle Dartmouth in a double dual meet that began with diving on Friday and concluded with swimming on Saturday. The Tigers were victorious in both matchups, setting 10 pool records and winning 14 of the 16 events.

Princeton men have a dual meet record of 11-0 against Dartmouth since 2005 and 7-0 against Brown since 2009. Brown men are 7-1 against the Big Green since 2005. (Dartmouth won the dual meet in November 2010.)

Men’s Recap

Much like in the women’s meet, young talent was on display in the men’s events. Princeton’s medley relays went 1-2 to open the meet; of the 8 swimmers, 3 were freshmen and 3 were sophomores. First-year Keian Lam (24.41 breast) teamed up with sophomores Logan Noguchi (20.58 fly) and Patrick Dinu (19.04 free) and junior Yanning Zhang (22.35 back) to break the pool record with 1:26.38.

Princeton freshman Alex Townsend began his Tiger career with a pool record in the 200 fly (1:46.56), while Brown freshman Rory O’Connor (4:25.10) won a close race in the 500 free, edging Princeton freshman Jack Haley (4:25.90).

Sophomores Noguchi (19.67) and Dinu (19.74) led a 1-2-3 Tiger sweep in the 50 free, both under the pool record mark (senior Lucas Tudoras was third with 20.50). Dinu added a victory in the 100 free (42.63) ahead of freshman teammate Jake Tarara (44.24) and Brown sophomore Christopher Zhang (44.64), while Noguchi broke his second pool record in the 100 fly (46.86), coming to the wall ahead of teammates Townsend (47.36) and Tudoras (47.82), both of whom were also under the pool record.

Princeton sophomore Santiago Gutierrez took down the pool record in the 1000 free, winning with 9:05.60. First-years Jiarui Xue (9:07.01) of Princeton and O’Connor (9:12.35) of Brown were also under the mark. Gutierrez’s classmate Andrew Zou led a 1-2 Princeton sweep in the 100 breast, edging teammate Lam, 54.30 to 54.78. The pair finished in the same order in the 200 breast, where Zou broke the pool record with 1:58.62 and Lam beat Dartmouth sophomore Jacob Turner, 2:00.04 to 2:01.09, for second place.

Turner won the 400 IM in 3:55.43. He held off a fast-charging Xue of Princeton (3:55.60) to get the win. Turner’s 3rd-place finish in the 200 fly (1:48.50) kept Princeton first-years Townsend (1:46.56), John Rusnock (1:47.43), and Haley (1:49.16) from delivering a 1-2-3 punch in that event. Townsend and Rusnock were both faster than the pool record but it was Townsend whose name made the record book.

Princeton senior Mitchell Schott led a 1-2-3 Tiger sweep in the 200 free with a pool record of 1:35.66. Juniors Parker Lenoce (1:36.54) and Arthur Balva (1:37.08) were also under the old mark. Schott broke his 2nd pool record in the 200 back, winning with 1:43.41 ahead of Brown sophomore Marton Nagy (1:45.96) and Dartmouth freshman Andrew Chou (1:46.04). Chou (48.21) and Nagy (48.27) placed 2nd and 3rd in the 100 back behind Princeton’s Zhang (47.95).

Princeton concluded the swimming portion of the meet with one last pool record in the 400 free relay. Noguchi (43.63), Dinu (41.91), Tarara (43.68), and Schott (42.62) combined for 2:51.84 to beat teammates Zhang, Lenoce, Daniel Li, and Tudoras (2:57.71), also under the pool record time.

In diving, Princeton junior Aidan Wang (373.50) won the 3-meter diving event ahead of Dartmouth sophomore McCoy Lyman (361.55). Brown junior Rowland Lawver (345.70), 4th on the 3-meter board, was the top scorer in 1-meter diving (the event he won at 2025 Ivy League Championships) with 352.60 points. Princeton freshman Luka Martinovic edged Wang for 2nd, 334.65-333.20), with Lyman finishing 4th (295.75).
